Javier Colon was crowned the winner of the competition show's inaugural season
Blake Shelton holds the record for most wins by a coach with nine champions
After 28 seasons, The Voice is still hitting all the right notes.
The hit singing competition first premiered on NBC in April 2011 with Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton in the coaches’ chairs. Following season 3, Aguilera and Green exited the series and were replaced by Shakira and Usher.
Since then, the panel has rotated regularly, welcoming a lineup of superstar coaches over the years. Artists including Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Ariana Grande have all taken a turn guiding contestants through the battles, knockouts and live shows. Shelton left The Voice after season 23, but not before setting the record for most wins by a coach, with nine champions.
In May 2025, Adam David was crowned the winner of season 27 with Michael Bublé as his coach. David spoke with PEOPLE after his victory, saying, "I'll be grateful for the rest of my life."
Here's a look back at all the winners of The Voice since season 1.
