After four days, dozens of buzzy announcements, countless exclusive movie clips, and a whole lot of special guests, the annual conference uniting theater owners and Hollywood studios has reached its conclusion.
Paramount kicked off the final day of presentations with updates on tons of its major franchises, including *Top Gun*, *Jackass*, *Call of Duty*, and *Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles*, and brought out Johnny Depp to introduce footage from his upcoming *Christmas Carol* movie.
Later in the day, Disney brought down the house with the opening scene of *The Mandalorian and Grogu*, the trailer for *Avengers: Doomsday*, new footage from *Toy Story 5*, and more.
Here's all the biggest news from CinemaCon, day 4. (And you can also read our recaps of day 1, day 2, and day 3 here.)

Chris Evans in 'Avengers: Doomsday'.

Avengers: Doomsday
*Release date: Dec. 18, 2026. *
Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, directors Anthony and Joe Russo, and Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige all appeared to hype up the first full trailer for *Avengers: Doomsday*, which they screened twice due to the enthusiasm of the hooting and hollering fans. The trailer showed the first clear look at Downey's Doctor Doom, as well as several intriguing character combos — Yelena vs. Mystique, Shang-Chi vs. Gambit, and the Fantastic Four meeting Sam Wilson's Avengers, to name a few. Read our full description of the trailer here.
The Mandalorian and Grogu
*Release date: May 22, 2026*
Jon Favreau arrived to premiere a new trailer for his *Star Wars* movie that debuted online later in the day — and also showed the opening scene of the film, which showed Pedro Pascal's Mando tracking down a bounty on a snowy planet and receiving a new ship as compensation. Here's our breakdown of what we saw.
Toy Story 5

We saw two clips from the latest *Toy Story*: one in which Jessie (Joan Cusack) meets the villainous Lilypad (Greta Lee), and another where Woody (Tom Hanks) returns to Bonnie's house and reunites with Buzz (Tim Allen) and the rest of the gang. Hanks and Allen showed up between the clips and goofed off on stage. Here's our recap.
The Dog Stars
*Release date: August 28, 2026*
Jacob Elordi, Josh Brolin, Margaret Qualley, and Guy Pearce all try to survive some kind of apocalypse alongside a very good dog in the latest from Ridley Scott. It looks like a good combination of action and Elordi being really, really sad. Disney released the trailer to the public almost immediately afterward, so you can watch it for yourself above!
Whalefall
*Release date: Oct. 16, 2026*
We got totally sucked into a pulse-pounding scene from this deep-sea thriller, in which a character played by Austin Abrams watches a giant squid get eaten by a massive whale...and then faces an attack from the whale and squid himself while the mollusk is still in its mouth. There should be more movies about how scary animals are.

Top Gun 3
*Release date: TBD*
Studio heads Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein were eager to announce that another *Top Gun* installment is in development, with a "script underway," noting that the project is "reuniting Tom Cruise and Jerry Bruckheimer," the producer of the first two movies. They didn't explicitly say that Cruise is acting in the project, though, and it feels like they *would* explicitly say that if they could, so I have a hunch he's only agreed to produce. But that's pure speculation. TC also climbed the Paramount water tower for a shiny promo video that had a confusing amount of star power — more on that here.
Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol
*Release date: Nov. 13, 2026*

Johnny Depp received some applause when he arrived on stage to wax poetic about playing Ebenezer Scrooge in Ti West's *Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol*, which marks his first project with an American studio since his controversial 2022 trial with ex-wife Amber Heard. He also looks really nasty in the movie trailer that followed his remarks. Here's what we saw in the footage.
Children of Blood and Bone
*Release date: Jan. 15, 2027*
Gina Prince-Bythewood assembled some of her massive ensemble for this Afrofuturist YA fantasy adventure, including Thuso Mbedu, Amandla Stenberg, Regina King, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Damson Idris. Read our guide to the trailer here.
Call of Duty
*Release date: June 30, 2028*

'Call of Duty 5'.
Paramount shared a very loud pre-recorded video that primarily consisted of cutscenes from various *Call of Duty* games, as well as footage of director/co-writer Peter Berg talking about how awesome *Call of Duty *is. Though there wasn't any movie footage to show, the video did end with a concrete piece of news: the film will release in just over two years on June 30, 2028.
Jackass: Best and Last
*Release date: June 26, 2026*
Johnny Knoxville might hold the record for shortest CinemaCon appearance this year — I'm pretty sure he got on stage, said his part to introduce the trailer, and was gone within a single minute. He insisted that this fifth film is "The last *Jackass* film the world will ever see," which meant that the team "went extra hard — heheheh — to make sure this was also our best *Jackass* film ever." The trailer showed the gang meeting a robot named Larry that punches Knoxville in the crotch and later gives Steve-O a prostate exam.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem sequel
*Release date: Aug. 13, 2027*

'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem'.
Paramount Pictures/Paramount+
Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg made a brief pre-recorded appearance to deliver an important piece of news: Shredder and Krang will both appear in the forthcoming sequel to 2023's *Mutant Mayhem*, which everyone on planet Earth should watch if they haven't seen it already. The duo also made a joke about CinemaCon attendees enjoying "old school Hollywood buffets" — a reference to the episode of their show, *The Studio,* where multiple CinemaCon presenters get ridiculously high after accidentally eating a bunch of mushroom chocolates.
Transformers, Star Trek, World War Z
*Release dates: TBD*
A rapid-fire announcement toward the beginning of the presentation confirmed that the studio is still actively working on *something* in the *Transformers*, *Star Trek*, and *World War Z* franchises. The fact that there was no more information to share leads me to believe they're not very far along in any of those processes, but who knows.
