*Spider-Man: Brand New Day* has swung into CinemaCon 2026.

During Sony's buzzy presentation in Las Vegas on Monday, a projection of Tom Holland appeared to introduce new footage from his fourth Spidey flick.

Holland described the new film as "the most emotional *Spider-Man* movie we've ever made, and in some ways, the most grown-up."

The scene, which Holland said comes from "early" in the film, shows the impact of Doctor Strange's amnesia-inducing spell from the end of 2021's *Spider-Man: No Way Home*, which made the entire world —including Peter Parker's girlfriend, MJ (Zendaya) and best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon) —forget that he ever existed.

The footage begins with Peter following Ned to a college party after his former best friend buys kegs of beer at a bodega. After someone hands Peter a drink, the wall-crawler wanders into Ned's room, where he discovers that his ex-BFF has a massive bulletin board full of photos and news clippings about Spider-Man.

Ned then emerges from the bathroom and explains that he's built a "Spider-Tracker" app to home in on the web-slinger's whereabouts, as he has fond memories of Spidey saving him on a few occasions.

Ned explains that he wants to find Spider-Man: "Not to unmask him to the world or anything. Just to know, and hopefully thank him face to face."

Ned also claims that he's ascertained some key information about the web-head. "We know he's definitely from Queens, not the biggest revelation," he says. "But I have been able to narrow it down to two prime suspects."

He then reveals a paper featuring photos of their former science teacher, Roger Harrington (Martin Starr), and Flash Thompson (Tony Revolori).

That's when MJ comes into the room and asks about the flowers Peter brought to the party.

"They're a housewarming gift," Peter explains.

"Really?" she asks. "Most people just brought beer and chips, that's really nice."

She then introduces herself, prompting Peter to come up with a fake name. "I'm…Maynard," he says sheepishly.

"You two don't know each other?" Ned asks.

"I'm just a neighbor from across the hall," Peter says.

"Friendly neighbor," MJ says, prompting Peter to choke on his drink.

Ned and MJ then step into the kitchen for a brief side conversation, wherein Batalon's character asks, "Did you go? Please tell me that you went."

MJ says that she did, indeed, go. "I got the job. I turned it down," she says. "I don't wanna work for some soulless corporation."

"They're not all soulless," Ned says before conceding, "Okay, they're all mostly soulless."

"Something is just telling me that I'm supposed to be waiting for something great," MJ says.

Shortly thereafter, a new character, portrayed by Eman Esfandi, enters the scene. "You can't save everyone," he tells MJ.

"I can try," she responds before kissing him.

Heartbroken, Peter watches them embrace from across the party before looking away.

The footage then transitioned into clips from the recently released *Brand New Day *trailer. There's a new scene at the end, though, in which Spider-Man quips with a group of adversaries as he stretches out before launching into battle.

"I'm not in high school anymore," he says. "Do you stretch? Are you a big stretcher? It's sooo good for you."

*Brand New Day* marks Holland's seventh cinematic outing as Spider-Man. After making his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2016's *Captain America: Civil War*, Holland appeared in three solo Spidey movies as well as *Avengers: Infinity War* and *Avengers: Endgame*.

The Punisher) to the big screen for the first time after appearing in streaming shows like *Daredevil: Born Again* and *The Punisher*.
